  This place is an anomaly. Dive bar doesn't even define it properly.
  
  I will say that if you are looking for a solid burger, Big Gun has my #1 or #2 favorite in the whole city. That being said, don't expect anything over a hot meal.
  
  The "service" the bartender gave to others was embarrassing for me to even sit and listen to. When to guys, obviously just visiting, walked in and asked for wine, the bartender literally said we have white and red. When the patrons inquired further into exactly which types they had, the bartender pulled the bottle from the refrigerator and after handing it to the patron for their own analysis said, " I don't know what that says, but it does the trick" For clarification, this is not a wine bar and I don't expect the employees to be able to pull out notes of hickory or cherry. What I would expect is professionalism which was as far away from this place as a clean set of stemware.
  
  Overall, I like this place but only because I know what I'm getting into when I walk in. I've always had bad service here though. A few months ago I walked in and sat at a table for literally 8 minutes and in that time, not one server or bartender emerged from the back.
  
  In closing, get the great burgers while you can. The gentrification of Charleston will soon push this place to the outskirts with its similar brethren Tattooed Moose and Royal.
